Chelsea-based brewery Mystic wanted to freshen their brand, making it modern, approachable and energetic. As part of an overhaul of their visual identity, I embraced the scholarly aspect of their brand, creating a clean, simple, yet engaging visual identity that invoked educational texts in its use of clean midcentury typography.
Accessibility was one of these most important features of Mystic’s new visual identity. There was no better illustration of this than their site, which I changed from a blog format to a cleaner, simpler design. The new site provided brewery information clearly and concisely using embedded content and clear calls to action.
Apparel / Misc. Promotional Material
Visibility, one of the brewery’s concerns, was the focus of an overhaul of their promotional materials.Taking cues more from current streetwear trends than the apparel most often seen in breweries, I set out to create merchandise designed to be equal parts lifestyle brand and marketing initiative.
